Can you have pizza with Diverticulitis?  Yes, you can!  Here is a healthy alternative to regular pizza with much more flavor, fiber and nutrition.


  • 1
    store bought baked thin crust whole wheat pizza shell
  • 4 Cups
    baby spinach leaves, sliced thinly
  • 1/2 Cup
  • 2 Tablespoons
    olive oil
  • 3 Ounces
    ham or prosciutto
  • 1/4 Cup
    feta cheese, crumbled
  • 1/4 Cup
    Parmesan cheese, grated
  • 3 Pieces
    garlic cloves, sliced thinly


  1. Preheat oven to 450F degrees.

  2. Place the pizza shell on a cookie sheet. Scatter spinach and mushrooms all over crust. Drizzle with oil. Place ham or prosciutto, cheeses, and garlic on top of spinach & mushroom.

  3. Bake for 10-12 minutes, until crust is golden brown and spinach is wilted.
